The thermostat controller had a short circuit upon first use. I went back and forth with the company for days (emails and phone calls) and they blamed the fuse box which was used during installation. Only once I asked the electrician to summarise the problem were they willing to collect, investigate and send out a new unit. I opted to simply buy a replacement thermostat controller to avoid all the fuss. The towel rail now works and my rating of two stars is due to this company not willing to acknowledge the issue was with their faulty equipment and the equipment being faulty in the first place.Problem with the towel rail;The fuse size will have no effect on the thermostat controller if a short circuit has occurred. This is a thermal protection device which operates when an overload or short circuit occurs on either the cable or equipment.Once the towel rail heater was energised, the temperature was turned up and after about 60 seconds the thermostat exploded, which tripped out the MCB due to a short circuit.As you can see from the picture attached there is black all over the circuit board within the thermostat controller where a short circuit has occurred on your equipment.The element within the towel rail is fine, the fault occurred on your thermostat controller which tripped out the MCB protecting the circuit."
